f\u00e9vrier 2025 \u2013\u00a0<\/strong>Le Gala de la Saint-Valentin de la Fondation CHU Dumont, pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 par la Banque Nationale du Canada, a eu lieu samedi dernier. \u00a0Gr\u00e2ce aux 350 convives pr\u00e9sents, aux partenaires et aux commanditaires de la soir\u00e9e, la Fondation a amass\u00e9 un montant total de 110 350 $. Cette somme sera investie dans l\u2019achat d\u2019un appareil EEG pour la Clinique p\u00e9diatrique du CHU Dumont \u00e0 Dieppe. Depuis ses tout d\u00e9buts, le Gala de la Saint-Valentin a permis d\u2019amasser plus de 1,7 million\u00a0$.<\/p><p>\u00a0La vice-pr\u00e9sidente du conseil d\u2019administration de la Fondation CHU Dumont, Chantal Cormier, se dit reconnaissante de l\u2019appui de la population qui, ann\u00e9e apr\u00e8s ann\u00e9e, participe activement au succ\u00e8s des initiatives de la Fondation.<\/p><p>\u00a0\u00ab\u2009C\u2019est l\u2019engagement inconditionnel de la communaut\u00e9 et de nos partenaires qui nous permet de mener \u00e0 bien notre mission. Le Gala de la St-Valentin ne fait pas exception. L\u2019extr\u00eame g\u00e9n\u00e9rosit\u00e9 d\u00e9montr\u00e9e par notre pr\u00e9sentateur officiel la Banque Nationale du Canada, nos partenaires, commanditaires et participants nous permettra de soutenir la Clinique p\u00e9diatrique et de contribuer ainsi \u00e0 am\u00e9liorer les soins de sant\u00e9 de notre jeunesse n\u00e9o-brunswickoise \u00bb, a indiqu\u00e9 madame Cormier.<\/p><p>Pour le Dr Michel Sylvain, neuro p\u00e9diatre, l\u2019engagement de la Fondation dans l\u2019am\u00e9lioration des soins et services au CHU Dumont est primordial. \u00ab\u00a0L\u2019achat d\u2019un appareil d\u2019EEG pour la Clinique p\u00e9diatrique permettra non seulement de poser un diagnostic pr\u00e9cis et beaucoup plus rapidement, mais cela permettra \u00e0 l\u2019enfant et sa famille, de recevoir tous les soins m\u00e9dicaux reli\u00e9s au probl\u00e8me neurologique, au m\u00eame endroit, dans un milieu parfaitement adapt\u00e9 \u00e0 la client\u00e8le p\u00e9diatrique. \u00bb<\/p><p>Dr Sylvain explique\u00a0: \u00ab L\u2019\u00e9lectroenc\u00e9phalogramme (EEG) est un examen qui permet d\u2019enregistrer l\u2019activit\u00e9 \u00e9lectrique produite par le cerveau. On peut ainsi confirmer un diagnostic d\u2019\u00e9pilepsie et en suivre l\u2019\u00e9volution, de m\u00eame que la r\u00e9ponse au traitement. L\u2019\u00e9pilepsie est tr\u00e8s fr\u00e9quente chez les enfants et tout d\u00e9lai dans le diagnostic, peut compromettre le d\u00e9veloppement et la maturation du cerveau.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p><p>Pour le PDG de la Fondation CHU Dumont, Gilles Allain, la soir\u00e9e a \u00e9t\u00e9 une grande r\u00e9ussite. \u00ab\u00a0Nous avions projet\u00e9 un profit de 100 000 $. Je suis extr\u00eamement fier d\u2019un d\u00e9passement de l\u2019objectif avec un montant de 110 350 $. Je veux remercier tr\u00e8s sinc\u00e8rement tous nos partenaires, nos commanditaires et les convives pour leur g\u00e9n\u00e9rosit\u00e9 et leur bont\u00e9 envers l\u2019am\u00e9lioration des soins de sant\u00e9 pour nos jeunes patients\u00a0\u00bb, a conclu M.
