For its 37th edition, the Tree of Hope invites the entire community to reach out

Moncton, October 15, 2026 – The CHU Dumont Foundation today launches the 37th edition of the Tree of Hope campaign, with the goal of raising $1.2 million, and invites the entire community to reach out.
Because we all know someone.
A parent, a friend, a colleague who has been affected by cancer. Someone you may have accompanied to the Dr. Léon-Richard Oncology Centre for their treatments, or to the Mgr. Henri-Cormier Lodge when they had to stay away from home. Someone who benefited from specialized care, state-of-the-art equipment or advances in research.
Behind every treatment, every service, every advance, there is someone we know.
Since the Tree of Hope began, donors have given generously, schools have organized activities, volunteers and communities have rallied, and businesses have chosen to get involved.
And we must keep going.
Keep improving the care and support offered to people affected by cancer and their loved ones. Keep supporting research and access to leading-edge technologies. Keep providing accommodation for those who must travel to receive their treatments.
“The Tree of Hope is at its strongest when communities come together. Every donation counts, but every act of mobilization counts too. A school that organizes an activity, a business that rallies its employees, a volunteer who gives their time or a person who chooses to make a donation: all these outstretched hands are what allow us to go further,” said Gilles Allain, President and CEO of the CHU Dumont Foundation.
Give and get involved
Donors are invited to give now. Schools, businesses, organizations and communities are also invited to rally their networks, organize activities and collect donations.
“Every day, we see the difference that better care, new technologies or tailored support can make in the journey of a person affected by cancer. Donations to the Tree of Hope allow us to go further and improve what we can offer patients and their loved ones,” said Dr. Linda LeBlanc, Radiation Oncologist, Dr. Léon-Richard Oncology Centre at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont Hospital.
The campaign will culminate on November 27 with the Tree of Hope Radiothon, the highlight of this annual mobilization. The public is invited to join this major gathering at CCNB Dieppe, where they can attend the live broadcast of testimonials from cancer survivors or enjoy artistic performances taking place throughout the day.
Once again this year, we invite you to reach out to hope. You can do so by visiting fondationdumont.ca, by taking part in the Tree of Hope Radiothon on November 27, or, if you are a past donor, by using the donation form you will receive in your mailbox in the coming weeks.
