Support for Cancer Patients: A Vital Program in New Brunswick

Every week, 95 people in New Brunswick are diagnosed with cancer. As the population ages, cancer rates continue to rise, and the needs of patients and their families go far beyond medical care.

That’s why the CHU Dumont Foundation and the Friends of The Moncton Hospital Foundation have partnered with Wellspring to offer free non-medical support programs to help people live better with cancer, in both English and French.

Essential Support for a Better Life with Cancer

This program aims to:
✅ Provide emotional, social, and practical support to patients and their families.
✅ Improve their quality of life with tailored resources.
✅ Offer effective strategies to manage symptoms, anxiety, fatigue, and return to work.

Person-Centered Support Services

The program includes:
Mindfulness and relaxation
Exercise and movement
Therapeutic arts
Financial and workplace strategies
Individual and group support

With this initiative, we offer essential guidance to help those living with cancer navigate daily challenges with confidence.
