Moncton, May 13, 2024 – Thanks to its generous donors, including Assumption Life, the CHU Dumont Foundation has raised $7,062,870 million to provide the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre (Dumont UHC) with a surgical robot and the means to digitize nine operating rooms.

“Over the past 40 years, Assumption Life and the CHU Dumont Foundation have forged close ties that have led to the establishment of an invaluable and lasting partnership. This collaboration draws its strength from the constant commitment of many people within Assumption Life, who have supported the ongoing development of the CHU Dumont Foundation. We are therefore proud to support the CHU Dumont Foundation by contributing $250,000 to their campaign to equip the hospital with state-of-the-art technology. This advance will enable us to offer superior care to members of our communities affected by the disease.

Not only does this project reflect our values of commitment to the health of our communities, but its advanced technology and creativity are also a reflection of Assumption Life and our employees. We also hope that this state-of-the-art equipment will be an additional factor in the recruitment and retention of long-term medical professionals for the benefit of our communities,” stated Réjean Boudreau, Vice-President, Client Experience at Assumption Life.

"On behalf of patients and their loved ones, the medical staff and the employees of the Dumont UHC, we would like to extend our warmest thanks to Assumption Life for its gift to the campaign. Your commitment and generosity contribute greatly to improving healthcare and services for a better experience for patients and their loved ones," said Gilles Allain, CEO of the CHU Dumont Foundation.
