Moncton, February 19, 2026 – Under the theme “I stand with those who safeguard our health”, the fundraising campaign for professional development in healthcare was launched today at the CHU Dumont hospital.

Professional development in healthcare is a major priority identified by the Réseau de santé Vitalité to address increasingly complex health care needs, as well as the demographic and cultural changes in our population and the technological evolution of the sector. The CHU Dumont Foundation has decided to support this priority by launching this new fundraising campaign, which will run throughout the year.

To represent this campaign, 16 healthcare professionals lent their faces to personalize the impact in the community—nurses, physical therapists, medical imaging technologists, pharmacists, nutritionists, psychologists, speech therapists, audiologists, and occupational therapists. Several of these ambassadors were present at the launch and proud to make their valuable contribution to the campaign.

To support the campaign kick-off, RBC Foundation has provided a lead donation of $15,000. According to Kimberly LeRoux-Vautour, Regional Vice President, Eastern New Brunswick, RBC: “At RBC, we believe in equipping people with skills for a thriving future. This campaign does exactly that—supporting the healthcare professionals who safeguard our health with the training and resources they need to excel. When we invest in their development, we invest in better care for our communities.”

Josée Gagnon, Vice President of Cross-Functional Services at Vitalité, and Allison White, Senior Director of Nursing, agree that “supporting the continuing education of healthcare professionals means investing in the improvement of patient care. It also means supporting the recruitment and retention of those who care for patients and our communities.”

“We are very proud, at the CHU Dumont Foundation, to launch this campaign, which will help address emerging professional training needs in order to better serve a society that is rapidly growing,” said Gilles Allain, CEO of the CHU Dumont Foundation.

The success of this campaign will depend on the commitment and generosity of the entire population throughout the year. The Foundation thanks its generous donors in advance. Together, let's support the people who look after our health.
